Thoughts on and Memories of Grandma Miliza. You came to Ibadan ahead of me. I followed a few months after. I was expecting Foye at that time and had some really challenging moments. You and Uncle Ade would make me those strips of very dry toast and convince me it would hold my food down! Then we would sit in the garden planning and deciding on what you could do to keep busy in Ibadan. The decision was for a Day Care and the name "Miliza" was chosen. Foye (yet unborn) registered on form number 1! Yosola (Yoyo) Runsewe registered on form number 2 but was the first baby there! Then I started labour and Gbenga dropped me off at yours. You made a warm bath that I soaked in. After, I started walking around the sitting room. Papa Adeniyi Williams came in and asked what was happening to me. In your matter-of-fact, no-nonsense but lovely voice said " Well, she's having a baby isn't she?!" I was in pain but I laughed. The car refused to start and you ordered Tokunbo to get that car started! The car obeyed you and started! You, Tokunbo and the car got me to the hospital just in time! This forged an even closer bond. Aunty, we are so so happy we saw you the day before you went. We were able to thank you for every single thing you did for and were to us. We miss you Aunty but thank God for the wonderful memories of you, our smart, fashionable, loving, caring, firm but with a joie de vivre spirit, Mother, Grandmother, Aunty and so many things to so many people. And we smile....... Bussy for Gbenga and Busola Adebusuyi and your Grandchildren
